Item Title
D-5 Reclassify Argyle Elementary School from a Pre-K to 5th Grade to a Pre-K to 6th Grade

Issue/Rationale

The proposed reclassification is necessary to more effectively utilize existing facilities as a result of overcrowding at OakLeaf Junior High School in anticipation of new residential developments currently under construction.

Authorization to advertise new or revisions to existing attendance boundaries is required. Effective date will be School Year 2016/17 pending formal approval at a School Board Public Hearing scheduled for April 21, 2016.

Recommended Action

Discussion and approval to advertise reclassification and attendance boundary realignments.
